the search process - job seekers
understand your background
During this first step, we will review your resume, project list, and any other relevant information during a short phone interview with you to fully understand your background, career history and experience level.

evaluate your needs
Although income is at the top of most job seekers list of position requirements, we understand that it is not everything. A position that pays well that is not personally gratifying is a step in the wrong direction. We have been there before. We want to understand what motivates and drives you.

initial position database cross reference
Once we have completed your Candidate Profile, we will cross reference the information with our Position Database for an initial list of potential opportunities. Included with this list will be companies that might not have a specific need, but have told us to keep them informed about strong resumes that come across our desk.

present first line screening opportunities
Having been both an employer and job seeker, we understand the importance of confidentiality. Once the First Line Opportunity Screening process is complete, we will contact you to discuss the positions available before any information is exchanged on your behalf.

present your information
For the positions we have that fit your needs, we will present a Candidate Information Package to the hiring authority. You have complete control over which companies these go to. Again, we understand the importance of confidentiality. We also understand the importance of finding the ‘best fit’ for a person with your experience and capabilities.

position interviews
With each Candidate Information Package submission, our goal is to move as quickly as possible to a face-to-face interview with the potential employer.  Typically, once we have your Candidate Profile, it will take two to four weeks until we have the first set of face-to-face interviews scheduled. The process continues until we have found a position meeting all of your career objectives.

understand the corporate culture
Having worked for companies in the ENR top 10 with billions of dollars in revenues and with firms with sales of a few million, we understand that the needs of any organization, large or small, are unique. The first step in the placement process is to gather enough information to form a true understanding of your specific corporate environment and structure.

evaluate your needs
Filling a position is more difficult than just ‘find me a Superintendent or Architect’. We will create a specific Candidate Qualifications Report based on a Needs Evaluation. This includes project experience (size, type and years of), education level, compensation package, growth potential, position title, supervisor information and any particular area that needs special consideration; Travel, Security Clearance and Relocation among others.

initial candidate database cross reference
We will take the Candidate Qualifications Report and cross reference it with our Candidate Database for an initial list of potential applicants.

conduct first line screening interviews
For each resume that meets the requirements set out in the Candidate Qualifications Report, we will prioritize each candidate and contact them for a First Line Screening for your position. As this process continues and we begin to narrow down the candidate list, we will forward each resume, project list and Screening Analysis to you for consideration.

check references
Upon approval of the candidates, we will check references for each individual as a precursor to scheduling an interview.

candidate interviews
When a candidate passes this multi-layered screening process, we will work with you and the candidate to schedule a face-to-face or phone interview. This process continues until we have found the individual that will fit your needs. Typically, this process takes between two and six weeks, depending on how quickly you need to fill the position.
